Heather Jean Maywood is a singer/songwriter from the good ole state of Wisconsin! She grew up in Wauwatosa, then lived in Madison for 3 years, where she started her music career. Soon after she began playing gigs, she became a contestant on 105.5 Triple M's songwriting reality show "Project M - Season Two". "Project M" as a fantastic opportunity for Heather Jean to meet fellow Madison musicians, and become more recognized throughout the state. Her bright clear voice and catchy melodies attracted the attention of bookers in Nashville which led to her move south in 2010. For four years, Heather Jean played at many Music City hotspots like Tootsies Orchid Lounge, Rippy's, 12th & Porter, Douglas Corner, Fiddle & Steel, The National Underground and more. While being around incredible music and musicians was fun and exciting, Heather Jean knew Wisconsin was where her heart truly called home. So, here she is again, back in Wisconsin and ready to play at her old haunts and new venues. Heather Jean's original music is a mix of acoustic pop and contemporary county. She covers a wide variety of genres including folk, oldies, top 40 and more. Hope to see you at an upcoming show!
